Last year during my search for a new horse I came across some horses with some pretty interesting names. I'm no stranger to horses with unusual names as my last one was named Toes. I wish I had learned the story behind his name, but it's still a mystery. What I do know though, is that apparently he used to be stabled next to a horse named Shoes. For real. But my favorite ridiculous name goes to this horse named...Horsey McHorseface. Poor animal!
I started thinking about what I would name a horse, and after chatting with some friends I've started a list of names for you to use as a resource in case you want to rename your horse, or if you're lucky enough to name a foal.
In my own life, my new horse is named Frodo. I'll admit I've never seen Lord of the Rings but somehow I think it suits him and I decided not to change it. What do you think? Here's a couple pictures of him.
I realize that "bad" and "good" horse names are very subjective and I'm sure I'm missing many great names, so If you have suggestions please leave them in the comments below!

One last suggestion is inspired from a trio of ponies at my barn. One is named Bacon, one is Egg, and another is Cheddar!
